Most gas boilers come with at least a 5-year manufacturer’s parts and labour warranty. This means that as long as your boiler is serviced each year by a Gas Safe registered engineer, the boiler manufacturer will cover the cost of any parts and labour should the boiler break down or develop a fault.

What's included in a Standard Service?
A manufacturer’s interim service, compliant with the latest building regulation requirements, and manufacturer’s specifications to maintain your boiler’s warranty:
Test pipework and gas meter for leaks
Clean condensate trap
Visual inspection of internal & external parts of flue
Flue gas and oxygen chamber analyses
Check corrosion inhibitor levels & advise
Clean magnetic filter
Check safety devices
Visual check of boiler and case seals
Check operating pressure at maximum output
Check boiler thermostat/controls
Remove boiler casing and check all main components including burner, heat exchanger, main injector, spark/sensor probe
For rental properties:
Check carbon monoxide alarms in all rooms that contain a gas appliance (excluding kitchen)
Optional Landlord Gas Safety Checks for only £12 + VAT per gas appliance
Deluxe Service from Smart Plumbing
When should I choose a Deluxe Service?
When you have a new boiler installed or significant work done on your radiators, your heating system is drained down, chemically cleaned and filled with corrosion inhibitor. This inhibitor protects the inside of your radiators and pipework from corrosion or sludge within the system which may over time reduce the efficiency of your boiler or cause damage to your boiler or heating system. Like oil in a car, this inhibitor breaks down and becomes less effective over time and needs replacing.
A Deluxe Service is recommended every 3-5 years or as advised by your heating engineer.

We contacted Ian after a tenant reported a non-working boiler late on a Friday. Communication was fantastic, the boiler was replaced on the Sunday and all warranty paperwork emailed to our office the next day!
